Services - Video Hosting

Once we have completed the video tour or promotional video for you, you'll more then likely would want this video to be available on the web for all your potential clients or customers to view... To accomplish this we offer 3 options:

1. Our Website - Our Hosting

If you choose the "Hassle Free" option of having PRW Productions host your video tour completely there are some things you'll need to decide and some things you'll need to know...

What you get:

We will do all the programming and set-up. We will add your listing to the approprate section of our "Featured" section of our website and we will also provide you with a direct hyperlink to your video tour for you to use on your website, in emails, or in print advertising. This link will take you directly to our stand-alone video player window, that can be customized with your logo or contact info in standard IAB banner sizes.

Video Quality:

First of all you'll need to decide what quality you would like your video to be. The actual video we shoot is "DVD quality". However, due to the size of this "DVD Quality" file it would take a very long time to download if we would put the video on the web in that format (Even with High Speed Internet).

To make the video more suitable for viewing on the web we convert the "DVD Quality" video file to something called a "Streaming" video file. I am sure you have come accross these "Streaming" files somewhere, it buffers the first couple of seconds of video and then starts playing right away while the rest of the video is downloaded to the viewer's computer in the background.

These "Streaming" files come in all kinds of sizes and formats but here at PRW Productions we have standardized our videos to the Windows Media Player format and we offer the following 3 "Streaming" video qualities:

Video Player Size:

Once you have decided which quality "Streaming" video you would like your video tour to be represented in you will have to pick a player size... This will determine how large the video window will be that the visitors will see when they view your video tour on the web. We highly recommend (but are not limited) to match the size of the player with the quality as follows, click on each player to view a sample...

Technically we could play the standard quality video in the large player but the video will loose some of its "clarity" and "crispness".

2. Your Website - Our Hosting

For this option you can embedd a video player of your choice on your website but we'll still host the large video file on our server. All features and pricing would be the same as explained above under section 1, but you would have set up a video player on your website yourself and link it to the provided hosting URL on our server. Or you could allow us access to your website for programming purposes. An extra "Programming Charge" will be required as it will take time to configure the customized Video Player on your website. However, some things to take in consideration:

If you use a template based webhosting service for your website it might not be possible to simply add customized pages. Check with your service provider for options...

3 - Your Website - Your Hosting

If you decide you want to implement the video on your own website then just take the basic CD-Rom that you'll receive once we completed your video and take it to your webmaster or person responsible for your website and have them upload and implement the video onto your website. All we need to know is in which format you would like your streaming video be on the CD-Rom. We can provide streaming video files for all 4 major formats...

However, some things to take in consideration:

The size of the video file can range from 10Mb for a short low quality video to 50Mb for a long high quality video so make sure you have enough "Webspace" to accomodate the video file.
Implementing video and ensuring its viewable with most types of browsers can be a little tricky to say the least.
